Evolution is a lie.
When I was a freshman in a public university, I took a biology class. The very first day of class I was sitting in the front row in an auditorium filled with hundreds of freshmen, and the professor entered and took his place behind the podium. The first thing he said was something like this, “The Bible is a fairytale and evolution is a fact and if you’re a Christian, you’re an idiot”.
Well, he had my attention, and I was a little bit mad, at his attack on my faith. That was the beginning of a semester of conflict between my biblical worldview and his evolutionary worldview but I refused to concede.
After class one day, one of the biology students confronted me and ridiculed my belief in the Bible, and made an open mockery of the Gospel. I stood nose to nose with him, and defended what I believed, and it appeared for a moment that he was going to challenge me to a fight. Thank the Lord that cooler heads prevailed (he was much bigger and stronger than me) but I remember that moment in my life, and how it forced me to examine the evidence of my Biblical worldview.
37 years later I’m more convinced than ever that the Bible is true and evolution is a lie from the father of lies.
Genesis 1:1 makes a bold claim:
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
That is one of the most powerful sentences ever written in a book.
Do the research on the evidence yourself. Don’t take my word for it.
God’s Word is true from the very first verse.
