Baby Boomer
I was born in 1962 and that makes me a member of the Baby Boomer generation. "Boomer" if you will? I know what you're thinking, you are from another century and you're getting old. Yep, thats true. So I started thinking about some of the things that I experienced as a little boy growing up in another century.
Here's my top 10 list of things that this Boomer experienced first hand.
1. My grandfather had an outhouse.
2. We had a rotary dial, party line phone in our house.
3. Gasoline was 29c a gallon.
4. We lived with the threat of nuclear war everyday because of the comnunist in Russia.
5. Our first video game was Pong.
6. Encyclopedias were the Internet.
7. We ate home cooked meals everyday.
8. There were three TV channels that you got up to change.
9. We drank water from a garden hose.
10. Everything was closed on Sunday except church.
I know those days are probably gone forever, but I must say it was a good life.
