Country Stuff
Mrs. Rachel built a swing for our front porch and hung it up recently. I really like that front porch swing. It reminds me of my childhood and it also has me thinking about some of the things in my childhood that are not nearly as plentiful as they used to be.
So, here are some things that I treasure from my boyhood:
1. Front porch swings.
2. Dirt roads.
3. Creek banks.
4. Swimming holes.
5. Cane poles and earth worms.
6. Strawberry fields.
7. Standard transmissions.
8. Friday night dances.
9. Little country churches.
10 Family lunch after church on Sunday.
11. Kissing the girl good night on her momma’s front porch.
