The Moon-landing was fake but professional wrestling is REAL.

Neil Armstrong was the first human being to step foot on the moon on July 20, 1969. He and Buzz Aldrin walked around for three hours, did experiments and picked up some moon rocks. The third man on the trip, Michael Collins, stayed in Apollo 11, remained in orbit and took pictures. That seems like a long way to go just to take pictures. I think most of us are Michael Collins in life and a few of us get to be Neil Armstrong.

I can almost hear the conversation now. “OK Michael you stay in here and take pictures while me and Buzz go to the moon. But that’s just my imagination.

Apollo 11 blasted off on July 16, 1969 and four days later the Eagle Lunar Module landed. I think that’s where the pop culture phrase, “The eagle has landed” came from. But I didn’t look that up.

I told Hatch the moon landing story this morning and he looked at me like I was crazy. I believe his exact words were, “Are you serious Clark!?” I think he was quoting the Chevy Chase movie, but I don’t remember him watching it.
I do remember the moon landing because I was almost 7 years old when it happened and it was a pretty big deal on television. So yeah, I believe it happened but Hatch is a doubter.

He says he’s not persuaded that people are smart of enough to get to the moon and back from what’s he’s seen about humanity in his short life. I think he makes a valid point but this is the same dog that thinks professional wrestling is real. So yeah….

“I have a dog that believes the Moon-landing was fake but professional wrestling is REAL.”

To paraphrase Neil Armstrong,
“One small step for a dog and a giant leap for dog-kind.”
